We are a client-centred and affirming mental health practice, comprising licensed mental health professionals based in Kuala Lumpur, with home-based therapy chapters in Kuching and Penang, Malaysia. The Refugee Emergency Fund (REF) is a refugee-led non-profit organisation dedicated to addressing the urgent needs and challenges faced by refugees, asylum seekers, and undocumented migrants in Malaysia. Since its inception in 2017, REF has been at the forefront of providing immediate support through crowdfunding initiatives focused on emergency cases. REF's primary service is providing much-needed financial support for refugees, asylees, undocumented migrants, and stateless individuals who are faced with emergencies like hospital admissions for medical treatments & life-saving surgeries, rent & housing support, critical supplies like wheelchairs and food, and burial support, among others. In addition to these, REF also makes referrals to other service providers where possible, including referrals to UNHCR for expedited registrations, hospitals and clinics for consultations and diagnosis, partner NGOs for mental health, SGBV, legal support, education, and child protection, among others.
Minda Psychology Services is an online-based therapy centre specialising in clinical needs and mental health support, with a focus on providing LGBTQ+ affirmative care. Minda provides one-on-one therapy support for various needs, and mental health assessments for readiness for HRT and gender affirming care, as well as neurodivergence or clinical disorders.
